Tottenham Hotspur have made their worst start to a Premier League in 16 years having taken just 10 points from their first seven matches.
Spurs relinquished a two-goal lead at Brighton to lose 3-2 on the south coast and suffer their third defeat of the new campaign.
Ange Postecoglou’s side head into the international break sat in 9th place and four points off the top four. They have also suffered defeats against Arsenal at home and Newcastle away, whilst also dropping points against Leicester City.
Postecoglou is now facing a bit of pressure from the supporters but the players are also getting backlash. Here’s how Tottenham’s players rank so far after 10 games in all competitions.

Tottenham Power Rankings after 10 matches
23rd: Fraser Forster
Tottenham’s second-choice goalkeeper has made just one appearance so far which came in their Carabao Cup win over Coventry. He didn’t cover himself in glory making several errors, although this was his first match in over a year.
22nd: Richarlison
Richarlison is having another nightmare season contending with injuries. The forward has played just 25 minutes of football. He has also lost his place to Dominic Solanke, but the Brazilian’s presence in the squad could be useful at some stage this season.
21st: Will Lankshear
Will Lankshear made his first senior start in the Europa League as he continues his time with the first team. The 19-year-old did well against Ferencvarosi in testing circumstances and even came close to opening his account.
20th: Djed Spence
Djed Spence will still be disappointed at the fact he was left out of Tottenham’s Europa League squad at the expense of Fraser Forster. The full-back has looked good every time he has come on for the Lilywhites and particularly impressed against Manchester United. He also scored in their League Cup win over Coventry.
19th: Timo Werner
Timo Werner was thrust into the team following an injury to Heung-min Son. However, his time in the team has not been great. The forward was really disappointing against Manchester United and Brighton as he missed several chances.
18th: Mikey Moore
Mikey Moore is enjoying a breakout campaign aged just 17. The teenager was handed his first meaningful first-team minutes against Manchester United and he looked really good in the 15 minutes. He was then given his first start against Ferencvarosi and held his own against the Hungarian champions.
17th: Wilson Odobert
Wilson Odobert has shown flashes of talent since arriving from Burnley in the summer. he looks to be a very direct winger which is exactly what Postecoglou’s squad needed. However, a bad hamstring injury has hampered Odobert’s season and he could be out for a while.
16th: Radu Dragusin
Radu Dragusin hasn’t had much of a look in so far this season making just two starts. Dragusin was a bit shaky at times against Coventry and was then sent off against Qarabag in the Europa League.
15th: Lucas Bergvall
Lucas Bergvall hasn’t had quite as many minutes as he would have hoped for, but at just 18, he has looked impressive when he has been given chances to perform. Tottenham have a top talent on their hands and hopefully, across the season, he’ll get plenty more opportunities to shine.
14th: Archie Gray
Archie Gray has already played in various positions but to his testament, he has played well everywhere he’s been asked. He’s played all the way across the defence from right-back to centre-back to left-back and also featured in midfield. Like with Bergvall, the North London club certainly have another young star on their hands in Gray.
13th: Yves Bissouma
Yves Bissouma has lost his place in the lineup to Rodrigo Bentancur and he has been demoted to starting in the Cup and Europe. Following his off-the-field incident at the start of the season, he’s not exactly covered himself in glory.
12th: Destiny Udogie
Destiny Udogie had a nightmare afternoon against Brighton, as he was partly at fault for all three goals. It is clear that the Italian is still trying to get back to full fitness having only just returned from a long-term hamstring injury.
11th: Pape Matar Sarr
Pape Matar Sarr has two goals to his name this season with both coming in the Europa League. The 22-year-old hasn’t quite looked back to his best, but he’s produced solid displays when called upon by Postecoglou so far this season.
10th: Guglielmo Vicario
It’s been a really mixed season so far for Guglielmo Vicario, who has proven himself to be a great shot-stopper, however, his ability at corners has left him open to real criticism. Vicario’s inability to command his penalty area has seen him heavily criticised.
9th: Rodrigo Bentancur
Rodrigo Bentancur has shown plenty of flashes of getting back to his best and he has worked his way back into the starting 11. He has been asked to play a very tough role as lone number six with Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison as his midfield partners.
8th: Cristian Romero
Cristian Romero is having a pretty underwhelming season by his standards with his commitment levels being brought into question. Romero has caught ball-watching against Brighton and then looking to blame others for the third goal when he was at fault. As vice-captain and such an experienced player, he needs to show more responsibility.
7th: Pedro Porro
Pedro Porro has shown much improvement in the defensive side of his game which is an area that was letting him down. The Spaniard now looks like a well-rounded full-back with his attacking capabilities being a big asset for Tottenham.
6th: Micky van de Ven
Micky van de Ven’s season has been mixed so far as he went from the high of his brilliant performance against Manchester United to a disappointing display against Brighton. The Dutch defender on the whole has been good, but there are still areas of his game which need polishing.
Tottenham’s top five players so far this season
5th: Dominic Solanke
Dominic Solanke has made a great start to life at Tottenham and slotted into the team seamlessly. The striker’s presence is just what Spurs were missing last season with his link-up and hold-up play both being strong assets for the team. He already has three goals to his name so far.
4th: James Maddison
James Maddison has looked much better playing in a deeper left-sided midfield role. His form hasn’t been quite enough to get him back into the England squad, however, he has shown signs of getting back to his best.
3rd: Brennan Johnson
The revival of Brennan Johnson has been outstanding and is the club’s leading goal scorer this season with seven. Since deleting his Instagram account, Johnson has gone on a run of scoring in six consecutive games for Tottenham. He is the first player to do that since Harry Kane back in 2019.
2nd: Heung-min Son
Heung-min Son has missed the last three matches due to a hamstring injury but the South Korean remains a key player for Tottenham. He has five goals in all competitions.
1st: Dejan Kulusevski
Coming in at number one spot is Dejan Kulusevski who looks like a new player this term. Kulusevski has been moved into a new midfield role under Postecoglou and has really impressed. His performance away at Manchester United was outstanding as he set a new Premier League record for the most chances created by a visiting player. He is now Postecoglou’s new star man.
