Tottenham Hotspur have just lost a key player for over six weeks following the latest news that has come out about his injury.

However, Spurs managed to overcome their injury issues on Sunday afternoon as they ran riot at Old Trafford winning 3-0. Goals from Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke secured the three points against Manchester United.

Micky van de Ven’s assist for Johnson’s opener was the biggest talking point from the game as the Dutch defender galivanted from his own half, through United’s team to tee up the winger with a wicked cross.

But now Ange Postecoglou will need to be mindful of how he uses his squad over the next run of matches having just lost a key player for several weeks.

Wilson Odobert ruled out for six more weeks

Wilson Odobert will potentially miss another six-plus weeks due to the hamstring injury he suffered against Coventry City in the Carabao Cup, according to Paul O’Keefe.

Initial fears are that the Tottenham winger suffered a grade-three hamstring tear which is the worst possible outcome. There is hope that after more tests that timeframe could drop, however, for now, he is set for six weeks and maybe more on the sidelines.

His injury has coincided with Heung-min Son also having an issue with his hamstring leaving Spurs short of left-winger options. Timo Werner was forced to play there against Manchester United although fans are hoping Mikey Moore will be given a chance.

Could injuries to Son and Odobert hand Mikey Moore his chance?

This could finally be Moore’s chance to make his first senior start with both Son and Odobert sidelined for the trip to Hungary. The 17-year-old could replace Timo Werner in the line having impressed in the 15-minute cameo he was handed off the bench at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Cristian Romero is back from suspension and is expected to replace Radu Dragusin who was shown a red card against Qarabag.

Postecoglou is likely to name a youthful team which could also see Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall given starts.

Tottenham predicted line-up vs Ferencvarosi: Vicario; Udogie, Davies, Romero, Gray; Bissouma, Sarr, Bergvall; Moore, Johnson, Solanke.
