Tottenham Hotspur had a day to forget at the Amex Stadium against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday night.
But it could have ended much differently for Ange Postecoglou’s men. The first-half left Spurs in dreamland, with Brennan Johnson continuing his incredible Spurs form to fans delight and James Maddison netting to put the Lilywhites 2-0 up.
The second half was a much different story. Yankuba Minteh bagged first, then Georginio Rutter equalised before Danny Welbeck sealed a quite sensational Seagulls comeback.
There were some good performers for Spurs against Brighton, but also definitely some bad ones. That includes full-back Destiny Udogie – who fans were not happy with on the South Coast.

Fans were not too happy with the Italian’s performance. He was majorly at fault for the Rutter equaliser, and the Spurs faithful didn’t hold back on criticising the youngster.
One says: “Destiny Udogie has single handily lost us this game… absolute pathetic performance.”
Another adds: “Destiny Udogie is having a nightmare of a 2nd half completely bullied.”
“Destiny Udogie has been horrific today,” says another.
One more adds: “Destiny Udogie performance today has been so poor!!”
A final adds, suggesting a next Spurs play: “I love Ange but his repetitive stubbornness in some situations irritates me a lot.
“Why the hell is Destiny Udogie still on and the subs come after the game is done? Djed Spence has to start for some time now in the league.”
Should Destiny Udogie be dropped against West Ham?
The Tottenham Hotspur boss does have another full-back to call upon in the next Premier League fixture, as some Spurs fans have eluded to.
Spence can play in this position, but is it really worth dropping the Italian? Compared to his stellar form last season – it hasn’t been the finest of starts to the 24/25 campaign.
