Tottenham ran riot at Old Trafford as they dismantled Erik ten Hag’s team with goals from Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke securing the three points.

Ange Postecoglou’s men enjoyed total dominance in the Manchester rain as they showed signs of finally clicking into gear under the Australian.

Micky van de Ven

Micky van de Ven makes the list for his outrageous assist for Johnson’s goal. The Dutch defender intercepted a pass on the halfway line and drove through the United team to then flash a ball across the box and into the path of the forward to tap home.

The 23-year-old also didn’t put a foot wrong in defence as he helped Tottenham to keep just their second clean sheet of the season. Van de Ven is quickly establishing himself as one of the most important players in Postecoglou’s team and one of the best defenders in the league.

Dejan Kulusevski

Dejan Kulusevski was magnificent at Old Trafford as he rounded off a record-breaking performance with a goal. The Swede netted his first goal of the season and Spurs’ second of the game to put them out of sight as he ran the show.

Kulusevski broke the Premier League record for most chances created at the Theatre of Dreams by visiting players as he produced nine chances. He is really enjoying life in his new midfield role and looks like a player reborn under Postecoglou.

Brennan Johnson

Brennan Johnson made it four goals in his last four games as the Welshman scored yet another goal for Tottenham. He has now scored in four straight matches against Brentford, Coventry, Qarabag and Man United which has certainly silenced the haters.

The 22-year-old was forced to remove himself from social media after receiving an overwhelming amount of abuse for his first few performances in the season.

James Maddison

James Maddison has had a slow start to the season but he is finally starting to rediscover his best form. The midfielder has been featuring in a deeper-lying role in the middle of the park.

Postecoglou has been playing his full-backs in wider areas which in turn has allowed Maddison more space to operate in.

He was very impressive against Manchester United as he controlled the tempo from deep and played a key role in securing the three points.
