Tottenham Hotspur ran riot at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon as Ange Postecoglou’s team cruised to a 3-0 win over Manchester United.

Micky van de Ven helped open the scoring with an outrageous assist as he intercepted a pass on the halfway line and drove through United’s team to flash a ball across the box for Brennan Johnson to tap home.

Dejan Kulusevski finally doubled Spurs’ lead just after the restart with a cute finish past Andre Onana before Dominic Solanke sealed the win with a third.

It was the performance of Kulusevski who had supporters talking as the Swede ran the show in the Manchester rain. His newfound role in midfield has reinvigorated his career in N17 and at Old Trafford, he set a new Premier League record.

Dejan Kulusevski sets new Premier League record at Old Trafford

Kulusevski created the most chances of a visiting player at Old Trafford in the Premier League since records began in 2003/04.

The 24-year-old created nine chances against United which was the same number as the whole of Erik ten Hag’s side on Sunday afternoon. Six of which were considered big chances and he was unfortunate not to come away with at least one assist.

Having been moved from playing right wing to a new central role in midfield, the former Juventus player has looked like a man reborn.

Kulusevski establishing himself as the heartbeat of Postecoglou’s Tottenham

Kulusevski is now quickly establishing himself as one of Postecoglou’s most important players as he was yet again the creative hub for his side.

It was a complete performance from the midfielder as his work rate and ability on the ball were both superb against United.

So many of Spurs’ best moments came from Kulusevski linking up with Tottenham’s front line and driving the ball from deep.
