Tottenham have a strong track record of developing youngsters throughout the years.

Whether it be graduates of the Spurs academy or the signings of talented youth stars, the Tottenham squad currently contains an array of gifted youngsters.

Ange Postecoglou has seemingly not been afraid to hand these teenagers an opportunity as well, as shown by the recent success of Mikey Moore and Archie Gray.

There are however a few youngsters who are still waiting in the wings for their shot at first-team football and The Spurs News highlights three of those, who could make an impact in 2025.

Spurs have had their fair share of defensive injuries so far this season, to say the least.

Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero’s injuries have left the Lilywhites extremely light at the back, with Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies filling in as a makeshift defensive pairing.

Tottenham could do with another body at centre-back and they could already have an ideal candidate waiting in the wings.

Ashley Phillips joined Spurs back in 2023 from boyhood club Blackburn Rovers, since then however the defender has failed to make his mark on the first-team.

The youngster has gone out on a series of loan spells, impressing at Plymouth Argyle last campaign. This season, though, Phillips has struggled for minutes on loan at Stoke City – suggesting Spurs may be tempted to recall the talented 19-year-old as they look to find cover at centre-back.

Another centre-back who will be looking to catch the eye of Postecoglou in 2025, is the highly regarded Luka Vuskovic.

The Croatian is still yet to make his debut in a Tottenham shirt, but he has been making waves out on loan in Belgium.

Vuskovic has been labelled as a ‘phenomenon’ by Westerlo boss Timmy Simons, following the youngster’s exploits in the Belgium Pro League.

With the 17-year-old’s loan set to run until next summer, the 2025/26 season could be a breakout season for Vuskovic at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

When it comes to exciting Spurs youngsters, there’s not much more exciting than Yang Min-hyeok.

The 18-year-old sensation will join the Lilywhites on January 1, linking up with fellow South Korean star Heung-min Son.

Yang Min-hyeok enjoyed an award-winning campaign in the K-League and the youngster will be looking to carry that form into the new year when he arrives at Hotspur Way.

Able to play on either wing, Yang could potentially earn minutes in the early stages of 2025, with the likes of Richarlison and Wilson Odebert out injured.
