Tottenham return to the Europa League this season for the first time since 2021.

Following an impressive first season as Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou now faces new challenges during the 2024/25 season.

Having not featured in Europe last season, the Aussie will now have to manoeuvre his Spurs side through multiple competitions following their qualification for the Europa League.

To do so, the Spurs boss will have to place a lot of faith in his Tottenham first-team squad, regularly having to rotate in an attempt to avoid an injury crisis similar to last season.

So with that being said, The Spurs News have identified three players who could impress for the Lilywhites in Europe this season.

Mikey Moore has recently become one of the most exciting youngsters in English football following his dazzling displays at this summer’s U17 Euros.

Having also impressed during Tottenham’s pre-season campaign, Moore recently signed his first professional deal with Spurs – fighting off interest from the likes of Real Madrid and PSG in the process.

Postecoglou recently revealed his plans for Moore, stating the 17-year-old will be involved in his first-team plans this season – potentially opening the door -for the youngster to shine in the Europa League.

Wilson Odobert

Wilson Odobert’s £30m move from Burnley has left many Spurs supporters excited to see what the winger can bring this season.

Odobert impressed on his debut against Everton and fans will be hoping he can carry on that fine form as Postecoglou’s side look to build upon their fifth-place finish last campaign.

Likely to share minutes with the likes of Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson, the Europa League could be the ideal opportunity for the Belgian to display his quality and allow the 19-year-old to test himself against some of Europe’s best.

Lucas Bergvall

Despite his young age, Lucas Bergvall has made an instant impact at Spurs since his arrival from Sweden.

The 18-year-old has garnered praise from both fans and teammates, with fellow midfielder Pape Matar Sarr recently describing Bergvall as ‘fantastic’.

The midfielder has come off the bench in both of Tottenham’s opening Premier League fixtures and the Swede is likely to pick up more minutes in this season’s Europa League, potentially starting alongside fellow new signing Archie Gray.
