A number of Tottenham stars flattered to deceive in their 4-2 defeat against Chelsea.

Despite racing into an early 2-0 lead, Ange Postecoglou’s side crumbled once again to gift the Blues four goals and three points.

Many of the Spurs squad disappointed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Pedro Porro earning criticism from the media, meanwhile, Yves Bissouma’s performance was labelled ‘brain dead’ by Jamie Carragher.

Bissouma has also earned heavy criticism from his own supporters, with many slamming his display against Chelsea.

Tottenham fans slam Yves Bissouma’s performance against Chelsea

Spurs fans have unsurprisingly lambasted their team’s performance against Chelsea, and Bissouma has faced the brunt of that criticism.

Tottenham supporters took to X (formerly) to voice their frustrations, with many not hiding their thoughts on the midfielder’s performance.

One fan said: “You put your trust in Yves Bissouma, then that’s gonna happen. Again and again and again.”

Another supporter said: “Gotta be one of the most stupid challenges I’ve ever seen from Yves Bissouma what are you doing mate.”

Some fans even claimed Tottenham must move on from Bissouma.

“Get Yves Bissouma out of my club dude,” said another fan.

Yves Bissouma’s stats vs Chelsea

Rodrigo Bentancur’s suspension has seen Bissouma be tasked with controlling the Spurs midfield over recent weeks.

The Mali international, however, has disappointed against the likes of Fulham and Bournemouth and that was no different against Enzo Maresca’s side.

Bissouma was out-thought and outfought by the likes of Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez – something which is shown by his disappointing stats.

Tottenham’s interest in Johnny Cardoso suggests they be tempted to move on from Bissouma, and the midfielder’s performance against Chelsea will do him no favours in securing a long-term future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
