One of Tottenham Hotspur’s key players has been slammed by the media for his involvement in the team’s 4-3 defeat against Chelsea.

Spurs allowed another two-goal lead to slip, this time to their bitter rivals Chelsea who won 4-3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The defeat now leaves Postecoglou’s job in danger as his team imploded on yet another occasion this season.

However, whilst the manager will take the brunt of the criticism, his players also need to take a look at themselves for the way they down tools after going two goals ahead. One of their players in particular was very poor and showed a lot of work is required from him.

Pedro Porro’s shocking display vs Chelsea

Pedro Porro had another afternoon to forget for Tottenham as the defender was ‘pulled apart’ as the media describe it by Jadon Sancho. The former Manchester United winger had a field day against the Spaniard who really struggled in defensive phases.

Now, the media have been tearing apart his performance and how he failed to contain Saancho down Chelsea’s left side. Evening Standard gave him a 5/10 and wrote: “Backed off Sancho for Chelsea’s first goal and struggled to contain the winger all afternoon.”

Meanwhile, the Daily Express also rated him 5/10: “Pulled apart by the impressive Sancho and looked vulnerable at the back.”

Football.London were slightly more lenient and awarded him 6/10: “Made a few good blocks but also came inside to leave Fernandez with plenty of space to score Chelsea’s third. Kept working away until the end with a late deflected shot past the post.

Pedro Porro loses possession 11 times vs Chelsea

Porro managed to lose possession on 11 occasions against Enzo Marasca’s side and they took full advantage of how poor the 24-year-old played. Tottenham have conceded too many goals down his side and they did again today.

Enzo Fernandez’s winner came from Porro failing to close him down and Sancho was allowed to cut in from his side unopposed to begin the Blues’ comeback.
