Tottenham Hotspur may already be looking at January additions with another goalkeeper now on Ange Postecoglou’s radar.
Tottenham Hotspur just can’t seem to find momentum this season.
Just look at recent results; only Spurs could beat Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford then throw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 at Brighton and Hove Albion.
That was the worst defeat of the Ange Postecoglou era in the eyes of the Spurs boss and he seemed to wrestle back momentum with a 4-1 thrashing of West Ham United.
Spurs were then beaten 1-0 at struggling Crystal Palace, beat top four challengers Aston Villa 4-1 and then lost 2-1 to winless Ipswich Town.
Will the real Tottenham Hotspur please stand up? This run of win, lose, win, lose, win just can’t continue and fans may want January additions to try and help Postecoglou progress.

Tottenham Hotspur want Yahia Fofana
Tottenham invested in a new goalkeeper in 2023, luring Guglielmo Vicario away from Empoli.
Spurs spent £17.2million on Vicario and saw the Italian enjoy a decent first season in the Premier League.
Fraser Forster isn’t ideal competition for Vicario though with the 36-year-old unlikely to seriously challenge for the starting spot.
Tottenham may now look to sign another goalkeeper with a Ligue 1 talent now on the Spurs radar.
The Sun’s Alan Nixon reports that Tottenham are interested in signing Angers goalkeeper Yahia Fofana.
It’s stated that Spurs watched Fofana in action for Angers against Paris Saint-Germain over the weekend, losing 4-2 in the process.
Brentford are also understood to be keen on Fofana with Angers willing to sell for around £15million.
The 24-year-old was born in Paris and came up in the Le Havre ranks before joining Angers in 2022.
Now an Ivory Coast international with 15 caps to his name, Fofana was a former French youth international who has now taken his game to another level in Ligue 1.
Guglielmo Vicario can have no complaints
Tottenham would be wise to invest in another goalkeeper and Fofana may fit the bill.
Fofana is young, tall and won’t break the bank; the £15million fee would be reasonable to spend on competition for Vicario without leaving the Italian feeling that he was being replaced immediately.
In truth though, Vicario can have few complaints if Spurs do sign another goalkeeper to challenge him.
Vicario has become incredibly vulnerable from set pieces and Tottenham just keep conceding goals in that matter.
Tottenham fans were far from impressed with Vicario against Aston Villa and Gary Neville has accused Vicario of ‘whinging’ when under pressure.
Vicario doesn’t seem to be improving his game in this area and if Tottenham continue to concede from crosses, a new goalkeeper will be an absolute must.
