Wilson Odobert became Tottenham’s fifth summer arrival after the North London club agreed a deal to sign him from Burnley.

Spurs signed Odobert for around £25 million following his strong debut campaign in the Premier League. The 19-year-old netted five times in 33 league appearances for a relegated Burnley side and he still managed to look very impressive.

Tottenham had been looking to add a direct, pacy winger to their ranks and Odobert sounds like the perfect fit for Spurs.

The former Burnley man has now been allowed to train with his new teammates and in his first session he looked electric.

Wilson Odobert showcases impressive qualities in Tottenham training

Odobert has been gearing up to make his first appearance for Tottenham who are next in action against Everton.

The winger will be hoping to make his debut on August 24 against Sean Dyche’s side having missed Spurs’ opener.

The French youth international was not in Ange Postecoglou’s squad at the King Power Stadium as he awaited his new work permit.

Now, SpursOfficial have just released exciting footage of his first training session at Hotspur Way and he looks really impressive.

Could Odobert fix one of Ange Postecoglou’s biggest issues?

The footage released by the club showcased the teenager’s ability to beat his defender with blistering pace and then produce a lethal finish.

Spurs have been in desperate need of wingers who aren’t afraid to take on their man and this is hopefully something Odobert can help fix.

Towards the end of Fabio Paratici’s reign at the club and the arrival of Johan Lange, the North London club have turned to a more data-led transfer approach.

This has brought them a great deal of success with players like Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie being signed.

The data behind the arrival of Odobert is promising as it points towards Tottenham targeting a winger who is capable of fixing the issues stated above.

In terms of dribbling, only three teenage wingers in Europe completed more dribbles than him last season and for pace, Illia Zabarnyi was the only U21 player who recorded a faster top speed than him in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, compared to one of Europe’s top wingers, Nico Williams, the Spaniard only beat him in three departments last season, with the Frenchman coming out on top in take-on success rate.

How Ange Postecoglou can change things up vs Everton

Postecoglou could bring Odobert straight into the starting line-up against Everton following Heung-min Son and Brennan Johnson’s disappointing showing at Leicester.

Johnson and Son were far too predictable against the Foxes and the 58-year-old may need to change his wing pairing. Son is likely to keep his place but Johnson could drop out for Dejan Kulusevski.

There could be big changes in midfield with Spurs fans calling for Lucas Bergvall to start and Archie Gray could also come into the team.

In defence, Postecoglou will be sweating over the fitness of Pedro Porro who suffered an ankle injury against Leicester. Djed Spence would be his replacement, however, the Spaniard is expected to recover in time.

Tottenham predicted line-up vs Everton (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Gray, Maddison, Bergvall; Kulusevski, Solanke, Son
