Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min will go down as a club hero but he found himself at the centre of real drama earlier this year.
In terms of value for money in the modern era, few Tottenham Hotspur signings can match Son Heung-min.
Tottenham paid just £22million to sign Son from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015.
Son’s first season was a little patchy and he managed just four goals in 28 Premier League appearances.
After considering leaving the club after just a year in North London, Son stayed put – and became a club legend.
Son has now racked up 164 goals in 415 games for Tottenham and serves as a very popular club captain following Harry Kane’s exit.

Jurgen Klinsmann on Son Heung-min
Son is now 32 and some may fear that he is coming to the end of his powers.
Son will remain a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham side though and will arguably be even more important for South Korea.
With 49 goals and 129 caps to his name, Son is the hero of South Korean football and is in the conversation for greatest Asian player of all time.
Son did encounter a problem earlier this year though as he clashed with Paris Saint-Germain’s Lee Kang-in during international duty with South Korea.
Son ended up with a dislocated finger but the two players made up and apologised to each other as they put their differences behind them.
The South Korean boss at the time was Jurgen Klinsmann, another Tottenham hero – and he has opened up on the matter.
Speaking to It’s Called Soccer, Klinsmann noted that he thought South Korea would win the Asian Cup.
However, Klinsmann pointed to the ‘crazy’ fight between Son and Lee, suggesting that it killed the team spirit in an instant.
“We went in to the Asian Cup there in January as one of the favourite teams,” said Klinsmann.
“We got into the final four, into the semi-finals, and I thought ‘we’re going to win this thing’ and then, unfortunately, it happened that, the night before the semi-final, our best two players got into a fight in Kang-in Lee and Sonny.
“They went into a real fight and Kang-in dislocated Sonny’s finger and it got crazy. The team spirit was gone in 15 seconds, it flew out of the window,” he added.
Son should return straight into Tottenham side
Son has missed Tottenham’s last couple of Premier League games with injuries ruling him out against Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Spurs captain perhaps hasn’t ben at his best so far this season but will surely come back into the starting XI when fit to play again.
Timo Werner offers pace on the left flank but his wastefulness in front of goal has been a huge problem.
Son will hope to receive similar chances to score when he returns, and Tottenham fans would certainly back him to finish off more of those opportunities and Werner.
Son may return against West Ham United this weekend and Postecoglou will be backing him for a big impact on the left flank, joining Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson in attack.
