Tottenham’s Premier League inconsistencies continued against Fulham, as they were held to a 1-1 draw.

After letting their lead slip against Roma in midweek, the Lilywhites once again could not finish the job against Marco Silva’s side.

Tottenham were lackluster throughout, with Heung-min Son clearly ‘off the pace’ and Pedro Porro earning criticism from Spurs fans for his poor display.

There were however a few bright spots in what was pretty disappointing for Spurs, with Fraser Forster earning praise from his manager for his performance in between the sticks.

Ange Postecoglou praises Fraser Forster’s performance against Fulham

Guglielmo Vicario’s injury against Manchester City – means Forster will likely be Tottenham’s number one until the Italian returns in a few months time.

Despite many Spurs fans calling for Daniel Levy to sign a goalkeeperPostecoglou has put his trust in Forster and that trust is starting to be repaid.

The veteran keeper was one of Tottenham’s standout performers against Fulham and his display has earned plaudits from Postecoglou in particular.

“Yeah, he was good. We needed him in some big moments today. When you lose someone as important as Vic, you need someone experienced who isn’t going to be overawed by stepping in. We see Fraser every day and we know his really strong work ethic,” as per Football.London.
