Tottenham Hotspur have started making their transfer plans for the next two windows as they look to bolster Ange Postccoglou’s squad.

The North London club have had a tricky start to the season having already suffered four defeats in their first nine matches.

Spurs limped to a 1-0 defeat away at Crystal Palace over the weekend as they handed the Eagles their first win of the Premier League campaign.

There is a clear need for further additions to Postecoglou’s team and the Lilywhites have already identified which position they want to sign next.

Tottenham want a winger and make Timo Werner decision

Tottenham have told their scouting department to start looking for a new winger for next summer, according to Give Me Sport.

Spurs have already decided not to make Werner’s loan deal permanent. The North London club have the option to sign the German for a fee of £8.5 million and are paying him £165,000-per-week.

They are now keen to sign a new wideman for Postecoglou’s team and want one who can play on either side and who is very attack-minded.

Spurs are already well stocked with wingers as they already have the likes of Heung-min Son, Brennan Johnson, Mikey Moore, Wilson Odobert and Yang Min-hyeok arriving in January.

Where else do Tottenham need to strengthen

Another position Tottenham may need to target in January is another left-back with too much workload being placed on Destiny Udogie.

The Italian has played 12 of the 13 matches Spurs have played across all competitions this season and he needs someone who can share the left-back role.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu who is a very similar profile to Udogie and could be the perfect competitor.
