One of Ange Postecoglou’s summer signings looks set for a short stint at Tottenham Hotspur with the club already open to letting him move on in January.
The Australian coach made six new signings over the summer as Dominic Solanke, Timo Werner, Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and Yang min-Hyeok all arrived through the door at Hotspur Way.
The club’s record signing Solanke has been the biggest hit having fitted perfectly into Postecoglou’s Spurs team.
Gray and Bergvall both look like huge prospects and will need time to flourish, whilst Odobert has struggled with a hamstring injury but has also shown great signs.
Meanwhile, Werner’s loan deal from RB Leipzig was renewed although his spell back in the capital has been far from satisfying and he could already be on the move.

Tottenham open to moving on Timo Werner
Tottenham will not stand in the way of Werner finding a new club in January and ending his loan spell in North London, according to Kicker. The German’s time in N17 has been hugely underwhelming just like at Chelsea and the Lilywhites are ready to let him leave.
Tottenham now have plenty of options at left wing with Heung-min Son, Wilson Odobert and Mikey Moore all options for that role. When Son and Odobert were both injured, Postecoglou opted to pick Werner over Moore, however, the 28-year-old’s performances drew a lot of criticism.
Werner is clearly a player very short of confidence and that does not look like it will return at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
What is Tottenham’s priority for the January transfer window?
Tottenham will head into the January transfer window in a good place with their squad not in desperate need of reinforcements.
Perhaps finding cover for one of the full-back areas could be sorted but otherwise, Spurs are well-stocked in each department.
They may have their eye on replacing Werner if he does leave, but with Son, Odobert and Moore as their left-sided options, only a top-draw player should be added.
