Genoa centre-back Radu Dragusin has reportedly decided to join Tottenham Hotspur over Bayern Munich.

That’s according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims the final details of the deal are ‘being sorted’.

Spurs had been locked in talks with Genoa for over a week before agreeing a deal to sign Dragusin on Tuesday morning.

Bayern Munich then launched a late attempt to hijack the move that evening and were ‘very confident’ they’d get their man.

But it seems that Dragusin has chosen to join Tottenham over the Bundesliga champions.

Di Marzio took to X on Wednesday morning and claimed that Dragusin has chosen to join Spurs.

He wrote: “Radu Dragusin has chosen Tottenham! Final details to be sorted out now.”

Fabrizio Romano has since confirmed that the Genoa star will join Spurs and Djed Spence is set to head the other way on loan.

This saga has certainly swung back and forth but Spurs have finally landed their top centre-back target.

Many fans feared the worst when Bayern launched a late bid to hijack the move on Tuesday evening. But it would appear that Postecoglou will get that much-needed addition at centre-back and Spurs fans should be excited by this signing.

Dragusin has excelled for Genoa this season, netting twice and providing one assist from centre-back.

The fact that he’s rejected a huge club like Bayern should also offer Tottenham fans encouragement.

The Romanian must be totally convinced by Spurs’ project and it wouldn’t be a surprise to hear that Postecoglou played a key role in his decision over the coming days.

Tottenham will be hopeful they can get Dragusin through the door ahead of Friday’s deadline in a bid for the defender to be involved in Sunday’s clash against Manchester United.
