Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has been discussing a move to Real Madrid whilst away on international duty with Spain.

Porro has been linked with a move to Real Madrid who are looking to sign a new right-back following an ACL injury suffered by Dani Carvajal.

Madrid are set to closely follow Porro’s performance for Spain over the November international break as they step up their pursuit of a new full-back.

Now, the 25-year-old has responded to questions asking him about the possibility of making the move to the Spanish capital.

Porro has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid, insisting he is fully focused on Tottenham and is settled in England.

The Spaniard did however admit he is flattered by the rumours linking him with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and he cannot be sure where he will be in the near future.

Porro told El Desmarque: “I am focused on my job. I am 25 years old, at 26 I don’t know where I can be, football is like that. I am settled in English football, I have a contract until 2028.

“My name and others are mentioned, but I am focused on my club and now with the national neam. My friends send me the rumours, it is a compliment, but I am focused. It is the result of a job well done that one of the best clubs in the world is taking notice of me.”

Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the other players linked with a move to Madrid and he could be slightly more obtainable to Porro given his contract with Liverpool expires next summer.

What is Tottenham’s stance on selling Pedro Porro to Real Madrid?

The Spurs News exclusively spoke to transfer insider Graeme Bailey of TBR Football, who said Tottenham would be open to selling Porro for the right price.

The defender will not be leaving the North London club in January and it is yet to be seen whether Los Blancos move for him or Alexander-Arnold.

Bailey told The Spurs News: “Madrid are considering a few options, Porro is one they like, we know they’ve worked on him before. I think for the right price Spurs would sell, but we’ll see which avenue Real go – we aren’t talking about January. Porro won’t be leaving in January.”
