Real Madrid have made it clear that in January and next summer, they will be moving for a new right-back and Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro is a key target.
Dani Carvajal’s ACL injury has accelerated Madrid’s plans to bring in a new right-back and Porro is one of their top targets.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is the other leading contender for the right-back spot at the Santiago Bernabeu with the Liverpool defender in the final year of his contract.
Now, Madrid are closely following both players and will need to decide who to prioritise ahead of the next two transfer windows.

Real Madrid closely following Pedro Porro
Real Madrid are planning to closely follow Tottenham’s Porro over the international break, according to Relevo.
Los Blancos have been impressed with the Spaniard’s performances for Tottenham this season and are wanting to see how he does for Spain this month.
Madrid are fully aware of his situation though as he has a contract in North London until 2028 and they know how tough negotiating with Daniel Levy can be. A fee for Porro would likely set a new world record for a defender surpassing Josko Gvardiol’s £77 million move to Manchester City.
But regardless, La Roja have games against Denmark and Switzerland over the next two weeks and the 15-time European champions will be closely following the 24-year-old’s progress.
Should Madrid move for Trent or Porro?
Tottenham’s big saviour in the case of keeping Porro is that Alexander-Arnold could be signed on a free transfer from January. Meanwhile, as mentioned it would take in excess of £80 million to prise Porro away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, when you compare the data of the two players from this season so far, it is quite shocking as Porro comes out on top in nearly every department.
