Pedro Porro’s form for Tottenham Hotspur has seen him recalled to the Spanish national team and linked with Real Madrid.
Porro scored on the opening day of the season against Leicester and has looked like a real threat from the right-back spot for Ange Postecoglou’s team.
The 24-year-old has looked much improved on the defensive side of his game this season, which is an area that had been holding him back. Spurs fans were particularly impressed by Porro’s performance against Manchester United as the team won 3-0 at Old Trafford.
He has now been discussing the possibility of a move to the Spanish capital and has given his honest verdict on how links to Los Blancos make him feel.

Porro has admitted that naturally he is excited by links to Real Madrid as it also shows that he is doing really well. The Spaniard claimed that he would be ready to make such a move if they firmed up their interest.
He told Relevo: “It fills you with excitement, doesn’t it? You have to focus on your work, but the fact that Real Madrid is interested in you is because you are doing things well. That’s how I think about it on a day-to-day basis.
“Well, if that moment has to come, it will come. And if it doesn’t, well, I’ll just keep working as I have been doing.”

Tottenham supporters seem to be quite understanding of Porro’s desire to one day make the switch from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to the Santiago Bernabeu.
They know that the dream for most players, but especially Spanish players, is to move to one of La Liga’s two biggest clubs, Madrid or Barcelona.
Spurs fans were still disappointed that their defender was happy to so openly speak about the 15-time European champions and took to X to their share their thoughts.
One fan was very disappointed by Porro’s quotes, stating: “How’s Porro angling for Real Madrid when he’s still with us and loved by the fans. So he’s just trying to show that he’s a good player and leave? Is that the ‘Tottenham project’ we’re building? Not a good look for him at all very disappointing.”
“He didn’t need to say it, but to be fair, Real Madrid is a difficult transfer to turn down. Madrid and Barcelona are the dream clubs for many,” added another fan.
There was yet more understanding for Porro’s words, with a fan adding: “Not very diplomatic if he said this but hardly a surprise that a Spanish footballer might be interested in the opportunity to join Real Madrid.”
