The Jose-Mourinho signed £15m midfielder has been linked with a move away from North London all month – but a departure has yet to fully materialise, which has angered some Tottenham fans.
Now, the man himself has confirmed that he will be staying put in North London and set to fight for his place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Athletic have confirmed that the Dane will be staying put for at least this window. He said:
“I definitely feel I can help the team,” he said, when asked about his role for the rest of the campaign.
“The key is that we are playing for something. I always said in the past like I say now, what drives me is the purpose of fighting for something and I definitely feel that Tottenham is fighting for something.”
So that’s that, after a month of speculation, it’s talent till deadline day to know the fate of the 28-year-old.
Hojbjerg scuppers any late transfer plans
Tottenham were reportedly set to still make a move for the Conor Gallagher on deadline day.
With Gallagher only having 18 months left on his deal at Stamford Bridge… could he instead make the switch to a different London side?
The answer now? Probably not. Hojbjerg staying means the likelihood of a midfield replacement coming into the squad is very low. Gallagher potentially in the future? Maybe. Gallagher on deadline day? Probably not.
