Bayern Munich director of sport Max Eberl has been forced to talk about the future of former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Bayern will not want to sell Kane as the 32-year-old closes in on 100 goals for the German club.
He has been an absolute goal machine for Bayern since arriving there from Tottenham in 2023.
When he left north London, though, Kane never ruled out returning to Spurs one day, and the opportunity to do so could present itself very soon.

Max Eberl hints at release clause in contract of former Tottenham striker Harry Kane
It has been widely reported that Kane has a release clause in his contract, and Eberl had a chance to shut down that rumour when he spoke about the Englishman on Thursday.
However, that never happened, all but confirming the rumours. Eberl himself even hinted at Kane’s deal having a clause in it.
In a press conference, which has been shared by Bild, the German said: “Whether it’s a clause or no clause, whatever — if he says he wants to make a decision, then he’ll make it, as he showed at Tottenham. But our wish is, of course, to be very, very successful with Harry this season and in the future!”
Being an elite striker and club legend, nearly everyone at Tottenham would welcome Kane back to the club, including Thomas Frank.
Frank wants to see Kane return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, publicly stating that.

How much will it cost to trigger Harry Kane’s release clause?
If anyone does go on to activate Kane’s release clause, should it become active, they could be getting an absolute bargain.
According to one report from Bild, Kane’s release clause will be set at £56.7m next summer, though the England captain would need to tell Bayern by the end of January that he is planning on leaving in order for it to come into play.
Turning 33 next year, Kane is obviously not getting any younger. But he would still be a steal at that price.
His goal record at Bayern shows that he is nowhere close to being finished. In fact, Kane may actually be playing the best football of his career, recently punishing world champions Chelsea.
