£60m Tottenham star with a brilliant individual record vs Wolves should be super confident

As Tottenham prepare to host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday night, Richarlison should be itching to get on the pitch.

Spurs face Wolves in the Premier League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend, which feels like an important fixture for both teams.

For Thomas Frank’s side, they have the chance to consolidate what has been a very positive start to the 2025/26 campaign. They already have 10 points from their opening five league matches. Incidentally, Fabian Hurzeler thinks Frank has already impacted Spurs, making a comparison to what he did at Brentford.

In contrast, Wolves sit rooted to the bottom of the league table with five defeats from five games.

Richarlison looks like Tottenham’s matchwinner

It feels like Saturday’s game against Wolves may be set up for Richarlison to shine.

Spurs forward Richarlison, 28, has started the season pretty impressively under the new management. In fact, the £60m (Sky Sports) Brazilian frontman has already scored three Premier League goals.

Frank has confirmed that striker Dominic Solanke is unavailable against Wolves (Tottenham’s official website). Without Solanke fit and firing, Richarlison has stepped in to remind everyone how good he can be when he’s in the mood.

Even though the South American star divides opinion, he’s proven during his time in English football he can score goals at the highest level.

Richarlison impressed Alan Shearer with his goal and performance in last week’s league draw against Brighton. We are now expecting big things from him leading the line against Wolves.

Richarlison record vs Wolves

On top of Richarlison’s strong start to the season, he should also be encouraged this weekend that he’s got a pretty impressive individual record against Wolves.

Richarlison’s career record vs Wolves

As you can see above, Richarlison has a record of one goal every two games against Wolves. It is the sort of statistic that will give a striker great confidence going into a match.

Back in April, Wolves recorded a 4-2 home win against Spurs in last season’s league fixture, but Richarlison still came off the bench to score.

We’re guessing that the attacker has one eye on next year’s World Cup, and perhaps he can fire himself into Brazil’s squad off the back of an excellent campaign in Spurs colours.
