A round-up of the latest Tottenham news, including updates on Frenkie de Jong, Jarrad Branthwaite and Conor Gallagher.
Tottenham make Frenkie de Jong bid
Tottenham have made a surprising offer for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, according to recent reports. The Dutch international has garnered plenty of interest over the past year, given the Blaugrana’s struggling financial position.
While Manchester United have previously been touted with a switch, it’s Spurs that have made the next move. According to Jijantes, Tottenham have made a bid worth €60million (£51million) for the 26-year-old before the summer transfer window.
The tabled offer is claimed to include a four-year contract for De Jong, which would see him reach a similar wage to his current deal at Barcelona – so long as certain targets are met. It remains to be seen if this move will go through, with the midfielder showing reluctance to leave Barcelona in the past.

Tottenham’s transfer activity looks set to continue ramping up over the coming months, with the summer market just around the corner. According to a report from the Daily Mail, Spurs have made some movement in the race to sign Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite.
The report claims that the north London outfit are joined by Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid in their interest. The youngster has impressed since making his name for the Toffees, becoming a regular starter with potential to improve further.

Conor Gallagher on transfer future
Tottenham continue to be linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, as his future remains unresolved. The England international is nearing the final year of his deal with the Blues, leading to questions over an exit.
Spurs have been rumoured with a switch since summer 2023, but their interest may be scuppered once again. That’s because Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino claims that Gallagher has told him he is keen to stay at the club.
“Gallagher told me he wants to stay at Chelsea,” the former Tottenham manager told the press. “Other than that, it’s for him and the club to discuss.”
