Tottenham Hotspur had a torrid evening at the King Power Stadium as they were held to a 1-1 draw and lost Pedro Porro to injury.

Spurs were unable to capitalise on a dominant first-half display as Jamie Vardy, now aged 37, netted an equaliser for the Foxes.

Porro scored the opening goal to become the Premier League defender with the most direct goal involvements since the start of last season. At that stage, it felt like the floodgates would open, but that wasn’t to be the case.

The North London club’s evening then got worse as Porro suffered an ankle injury and the defender looked to be in a lot of discomfort.

The Spaniard was later withdrawn for Djed Spence leaving him an injury doubt for the next match against Everton.

Fortunately, Ange Postecoglou has been handed a major boost ahead of the clash with the Merseyside club following the latest footage from training.

Pedro Porro and Sergio Reguilon spotted in training

Tottenham fans and FPL managers with Porro will be breathing a big sigh of relief as the defender was spotted in training on August 22. SpursOfficial released footage of Postecoglou’s team preparing for the clash with Everton.

There had been concerns he could be set for a spell on the sidelines as he appeared to suffer a lateral ankle sprain.

But with the 24-year-old training with the Tottenham squad, it looks as though we can safely assume that he will start against the Toffees.

Sergio Reguilon was also seen training with the group which comes as a bit of a surprise considering the club are ready to sell him.

At this stage, there does not appear to be a great deal of interest in the former Real Madrid man with just over a week remaining in the window.

How Ange Postecoglou could line-up Spurs vs Everton

Porro is now likely to be named in Postecoglou’s team to face Everton with his injury much better than initially feared.

In terms of the wingers, Johnson and Son were far too predictable against Leicester and the Australian coach could change his wing pairing. Son is expected to keep his spot, however, Johnson could drop out for Dejan Kulusevski.

Wilson Odobert will also be ready to make his debut with the Frenchman absent from the squad in the Midlands as he awaited his work permit.

Meanwhile, Postecoglou could ring the changes in midfield with Spurs fans calling for Lucas Bergvall to start and Archie Gray hoping to make his first start over Bentancur and Bissouma.

Tottenham predicted line-up vs Everton (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Gray, Maddison, Bergvall; Kulusevski, Solanke, Son
