Tottenham agree to sell title-winning youngster who has been replaced by Mikey Moore

Tottenham Hotspur have started to clear out members of their Premier League 2 title-winning squad from last season.

Spurs’ Under-21s enjoyed a hugely successful 2023/24 campaign as they clinched both the Premier League 2 title and the play-off final trophy.

Tottenham’s academy is now starting to produce some massive talents with several Tottenham youngsters being taken on tour by Ange Postecoglou.

The likes of Mikey Moore, Will Lankshear and Alfie Devine were all given game time on tour in Asia following their impressive spells with the academy.

However, some of the older stars from that title-winning team have started to depart the club with Yago Santiago having already left for Elche CF. Now, another key member is close to completing a permanent move away.

Jude Soonsup-Bell leaves Tottenham on permanent deal

Tottenham have allowed Jude Soonsup-Bell to leave the club on a permanent deal joining Spanish club Cordoba CF.

Spurs will not receive a transfer fee for the forward, however, they will get performance-related bonuses and will hold a 40 percent sell-on clause, according to The Athletic’s Adam Leventhal.

Soonsup-Bell was a key member of Wayne Burnett’s side but with younger stars now being promoted to the Under-21s and no clear path into the first-team, moving him on is the right decision.

Now aged 20, it was time for the former England youth international to move on and look for first-team opportunities elsewhere.

Forwards Moore and Lankshear are the jewels of Tottenham’s academy and with the very talented 17-year-old Callum Latif Olusesi breaking into the team, there was now little room for him in the Under-21s.

Moore produced an impressive display for the Under-21s in their Football League Trophy shootout win over Bristol Rovers whilst Lankshear scored a stunning goal.

The other Tottenham academy stars expected to leave the club

Ashley Phillips and Alfie Devine are also expected to join Soonsup-Bell in leaving Tottenham this month, although the pair will only depart on loan.

The duo were both out on loan at Plymouth last season in the Championship and made quite an impression on the south coast.

Phillips and Devine are likely to head out on loan to the second tier of English football once again in the next few weeks.

Jamie Donley has already left on loan for Leyton Orient – the same club where Harry Kane made his mark as a youngster.
