Richarlison’s Antonio Conte fury
Tottenham defender Emerson Royal has revealed an argument held between Richarlison and former manager Antonio Conte. Speaking on the Desimpedidos YouTube channel, the Brazilian said: “He [Richarlison] arrived late at the meeting on the day of the game, and the guy [Antonio Conte] said ‘do you have something to say to the team? Do you want to apologise to the team?’
“He asked the other guys who had arrived late too, the guys said ‘no, just sorry’, then I don’t know what got into [Richarlison]. He was supposed to apologise to the group and to [Conte], right? Then he said ‘ah, I think I need more minutes [of game time]’.
“I think he understood it that the guy asked if he had anything, something to talk about, then he started saying that the formation we played in was (swears). He said a couple of things.”

Thierry Henry makes Harry Kane claim
Thierry Henry has discussed the respect he has for Harry Kane following a meeting he had with the striker at Tottenham. The forward had grown at Spurs to become one of the best in the world, before leaving to join Bayern Munich.
Former Arsenal star Henry told Sky Sports: “When I went to see Harry Kane at the Spurs training ground I said ‘do you want to add assists to your game?’ and he said ‘to be honest I’m not happy with my assists, I can do more’.
“And you know what, I respect people who talk and then back it up. You can see, the way he plays, is just – when you talk about complete striker. Patrick Kluivert was complete as a striker, he could do it all.
“Kane can do it all. He can come in midfield and ping a ball to a winger, get the ball off a holding midfielder and play through the line. The only thing I would say to the big man is what about your free-kicks! Joking aside, I always have a lot of respect for strikers who understand that assists are important.”

Brennan Johnson verdict
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is claimed to think highly of summer signing Brennan Johnson after the winger’s start at the club. The Welsh international has featured predominantly for Spurs on the right, following his big-money move from Nottingham Forest.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, journalist Alasdair Gold has revealed just how highly Johnson is thought of by his manager. “I don’t know, in today’s world, the price tags of some of these players that are underperforming are huge,” Gold stated.
“And I think you are paying for potential for the future as well with someone like Johnson. Postecoglou loves him. Postecolgou thinks he’s got such a bright future ahead of him. And you can see Sonny [Heung-min Son] loves him as well.”
