Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall wants to learn something from teammate Kevin Danso.

Bergvall was excellent last time out, scoring a brilliant header in Tottenham‘s 3-0 win against West Ham United.

Alan Shearer named Bergvall in his Team of the Week, but at 19, the Swede can still improve.

He has already mentioned one area in which he can do better and could seek help from one of his teammates as a result.

Lucas Bergvall on Kevin Danso’s long throws

Long throws in the Premier League are starting to become a thing again, with Tottenham’s London rivals Chelsea being a casualty of one last weekend.

A Brentford long throw resulted in the Bees equalising against the Blues in stoppage time — a goal that would have been celebrated in north London.

Bergvall is not exactly bad at long throws, but the Sweden international thinks one of his teammates, Danso, can help him to improve in that area. For Bergvall, Danso is “next level” when it comes to long throws.

“Kevin is next level,” Bergvall told Tottenham’s official club website. “I have to practice a bit more. Maybe I have to ask him for a few tips!”

If Danso can teach Bergvall how to take a long throw, then the former Djurgarden man may be able to return the favour and show him how to make a run.

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson was in awe of Bergvall’s movement for his goal against West Ham.

Lucas Bergvall on scoring his first Premier League goal

Bergvall’s header at the London Stadium was his first goal in the English top flight, and it is something that he is extremely proud of.

“I’m so proud, for my family as well,” Bergvall said. “I saw the goalkeeper coming out and thought, ‘this is my chance’. It was a great finish, great pass from Cuti. Perfect timing.”

Next up for Bergvall and Tottenham in the Premier League is a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion. Before that, though, they take on Villarreal in the Champions League.

Heading into that game, which is on Tuesday night, Villarreal boss Marcelino has praised Tottenham, describing them as an intense team who press well. If they bring that style to the match, they have a great chance of winning.
