Journalist claims Daniel Levy has proven what he will do the ‘minute fans turn on him’ at Tottenham, it doesn’t look good

Tottenham Hotspur’s season continues to lurch from positive to negative in the space of a few days.

When Spurs hammer the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Aston Villa, everything looks rosy.

However, Tottenham will then go and lose to the likes of Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town and Bournemouth, and playing badly while doing so.

Spurs’ midweek defeat at the Vitality Stadium led to some fans losing their patience and speculation on Ange Postecoglou’s future doing the rounds.

However, speculation about the Tottenham manager’s situation has given way to criticism about the Spurs hierarchy.

Now, Paul O’Keefe has spoken about what Daniel Levy could do “the minute fans turn on him” at N17.

Paul O’Keefe predicts Daniel Levy will sack Ange Postecoglou if fans start chanting against Tottenham chairman

O’Keefe, speaking on Patreon, said he believes Levy will sack Postecoglou as soon as the Tottenham fanbase starts chanting against him at games.

The Spurs insider said this happened with Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, and feared it could happen again.

O’Keefe also said that, “with all the current players out”, he wasn’t particularly optimistic about Spurs’ chances of results turning around.

“Daniel Levy is very reactive, if in the ground the fans start chanting about ‘Levy Out’ and really going for Levy, that generally signals the end,” said O’Keefe.

“How the fans react is key because if they start going for Levy personally then the end for Ange is nigh, he’s not a proactive chairman – he’s a reactive one.

“The minute the fans turn on him personally, as we saw with Nuno, Conte, Jose… the minute it gets sticky, the manager perishes at Tottenham.

“And with all the current players out I can’t see results drastically turning around.”

Tottenham are next up against Chelsea and may only be able to field one fit senior centre-back after Ben Davies suffered a hamstring injury in midweek.

Tottenham expected to keep faith with Postecoglou

Although pressure is building on Postecoglou and Tottenham, it looks as though Spurs are going to stick with their manager for now.

“Spurs are not going to panic,” transfer insider Graeme Bailey told The Spurs News earlier this week.

“Clearly they are not happy with how things have gone but neither is Ange or the players, they think they have the right manager and that hasn’t changed due to a poor run of form.

“Obviously if they end the season in 10th, then clearly they won’t be happy and conversations will be had, but they still have huge confidence in the squad – especially when fully fit.”
