Tottenham Hotspur’s travelling supporters were furious with the team and Ange Postecoglou after they were beaten away at Bournemouth.
Spurs limped to a 1-0 defeat on the South Coast by a Dean Huijsen first-half header with the young defender netting his first Premier League goal. Ange Postecoglou was missing several key players, however, his team looked well off it once again as the pressure mounts on the Australian manager.
The North London club’s squad just looks shattered and out of ideas as the Lilywhites slipped into tenth place in the Premier League. The away end did not take well to Postecoglou’s apology after the match.

Tottenham supporters boo Ange Postecoglou
Tottenham supporters booed Ange Postecoglou as he went over to the away end to apologise to them for the team’s display. There are already question marks over his future and the fans’ reaction is not a good sign for the 59-year-old.
When the away starts to turn on the manager that usually signifies the beginning of the end for the man in charge of the team. Spurs fans do need to bear in mind the injury situation and his rather limited squad, however, finding reasons to defend him are becoming harder and harder.
Other footage from the end away showed that the North London club’s away support did not have many kind words to say about their manager. He was seen profusely apologising to them and seeming to shoulder the blame for the defeat.
The atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Chelsea will be interesting to see and could turn very sour if they are beaten by their bitter London rivals. The Blues are currently second in the Premier League.
What Ange Postecoglou said about Tottenham’s fans’ reaction
Postecoglou accepts Tottenham’s supporters’ frustrations and revealed that they gave him “some pretty direct feedback” about their feelings towards him.
Postecoglou told Prime Video: “I wasn’t having a word, they are pretty disappointed and rightfully so. I got some pretty direct feedback as to how we are going and that’s fair enough.”
In his press conference, the Spurs boss added: “I’ve got no issue with it. I didn’t like what was being said because I’m a human being but you’ve got to cop it. I’ve been around long enough to know that if things don’t go well, you’ve got to understand the frustration and disappointment.”
