Tottenham return to Premier League action this weekend as they host Brentford.
Having survived a late scare against Coventry in the Carabao Cup, Tottenham’s attention now returns to league action as they look to get back to winning ways following a disappointing derby display against Arsenal last weekend.
Currently sat on just four points after four games, Spurs are undergoing their worst start to a Premier League campaign since the 15/16 season under Mauricio Pochettino.
With that being said, Ange Postecoglou will be keen to his Spurs side back on track this Saturday as they welcome Thomas Frank’s side to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Aussie though faces some tough decisions ahead of the game, with Tottenham’s frustrating performance against Coventry presenting the Spurs boss with a number of dilemmas – one of those being whether to start Brennan Johnson.
Will Brennan Johnson start vs Brentford?
To say it has been a whirlwind week for the Spurs winger would be an understatement.
Having failed to impress in the North London derby last weekend, Johnson deactivated his Instagram account due to abuse he received after the match.
Spurs boss Postecoglou came out in support of Johnson ahead of the Coventry clash and the Welshman would ultimately pay back his manager’s faith on the night, grabbing the winner in the 92nd minute.
After the final whistle, the former Forest man was taken over to the travelling Tottenham supporters by Heung-min Son, with the 23-year-old receiving some much-needed applause from the fans after a tough week.
Having been replaced by Wilson Odobert on the night, it would be no surprise to see Johnson return to the starting eleven against Brentford this weekend.
Tottenham predicted XI vs Brentford
Dejan Kulusevski has been widely praised for his performance against Coventry, having provided the assist for Djed Spence’s late equaliser. The Swede’s exploits midweek means we will likely see him return to the starting eleven on Saturday, either on the wing or in midfield.
Tottenham’s attack however could be hampered against Brentford following the news that Odobert picked up a ‘significant’ injury against Coventry, with the Frenchman limping off in the first half on Wednesday evening.
