Tottenham Hotspur fell flat in the North London derby as Ange Postecoglou saw his side lose 1-0 at home to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Tottenham Hotspur fans had hope of beating Arsenal with the Gunners missing a couple of key players.
Declan Rice was suspended and Martin Odegaard was ruled out through injury, presenting problems in Arsenal’s engine room.
Tottenham just couldn’t take advantage though and ended up falling to a 1-0 defeat to the Gunners.
Tottenham once again conceded from a set piece as Gabriel Magalhaes headed home from close range.
This was just so frustrating as Tottenham didn’t learn lessons from last season’s defeat to Arsenal and have been left nursing another North London derby defeat.

Alan Shearer shares Tottenham Hotspur concern
That is now three North London defeat in a row at home and questions are being asked of Ange Postecoglou.
The Spurs boss thinks he will win a trophy this season but Tottenham fans aren’t really seeing signs of that kind of success being on the horizon.
Pundit Alan Shearer has now shared his verdict on Tottenham after Sunday’s defeat to Arsenal.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Shearer highlighted that Tottenham have shown one fatal flaw again and again.
Shearer feels that Tottenham had really struggled to turn possession into goals, pinpointing that issue against Leicester City, Newcastle United and now Arsenal.
Shearer urged Tottenham to improve in that regard or else teams will sit in and allow Spurs to have the ball without fear of conceding goals.
“Certainly Leicester, certainly Newcastle, certainly today,” said Shearer.
“They had possession, a lot of it was sideways, backwards. They did have a lot of the ball in the final third, but their lack of quality, their lack of final cross or final pass or final effort at goal, we’ve seen it too many times already this season.
“That’s something they’re going to have to work on because that has to improve, because teams will say ‘okay, we’ll let you have the ball because you’re not going to ask us enough questions of us’ and that’s what’s happened, it’s happened today and in the other two games as well,” he added.

Ange Postecoglou needs to find an answer
Tottenham brought in Postecoglou to bring back entertainment and that was certainly the case last season.
The goals have dried up this term though, outside of the Everton game, and Tottenham have far too much possession without real penetration.
Spurs just aren’t causing enough problems going forward to be this open defensively; the risk and reward isn’t there right now.
Tottenham have talent in the final third but it just isn’t clicking.
Son Heung-min hasn’t been at his best this season, Dominic Solanke is still settling in and returning from injury whilst Brennan Johnson remains inconsistent.
Postecoglou needs to find a solution to these problems if he is to really take Tottenham forward this season – and ease some bubbling doubts about his reign.
