Tottenham Hotspur slipped to defeat in the North London derby as they were once again undone by a set-piece.
Gabriel Magalhaes’ header from Bukayo Saka’s corner in the second half proved to be the decisive moment in the derby as the Gunners recorded a third straight win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs again had the majority of possession and created 15 chances, however, they failed to covert their dominance in goals and caught out at a set piece.
Tottenham have now made their worst start to a Premier League season in nine years having taken just four points from their first four matches.
After the defeat in the North London derby, Ange Postecoglou had his say on his set pieces and how much work his team are putting into them.

Ange Postecoglou makes Tottenham set piece claim
Postecoglu insists he does care about Tottenham’s set-piece issues and the team are putting in plenty of work to rectify the concerns.
Speaking after the defeat to Arsenal, Postecolou said in his press conference: “I know for some reason people think I don’t care about set pieces and it’s a narrative that you can keep going on for ages and ages.
“I understand that. Like I said, we work on them all the time like we do for every other team. You know that they’re a threat, as I said, for the most part, we handled them really well today, but we switched off for one and we paid a price and you learn from that and you move on.”
Guglielmo Vicario’s ability at corners was slammed by supporters and on many occasions in the North London derby, he looked a total mess.
“But it is what it is. It’s my burden to carry mate and I’m happy to do that. It’s not like, like I’ve always said, for me, there’s a bigger picture that’s at play here that’s much more important than the finer details of us getting to where we want to,” Postecoglou added.
Guglielmo Vicario is a massive concern at corners
In fairness to Postecoglou and Tottenham, Gabriel’s goal is the first corner they have conceded this season.
However, it would be silly to overlook just how much of a nervous wreck Vicario looks when trying to defend concerns. The goalkeeper lacks any sort of command of his area and never seems sure whether to come or not.
Against Arsenal, had Tottenham not been so woeful in defending the Gunners’ set-piece goal they would have walked away from the derby with a point.
