With the international break currently under way, Tottenham Hotspur’s staff have the opportunity to take stock and look ahead to the rest of the season.
Ange Postecoglou will still be taking Tottenham training, albeit with a reduced squad as many players will be away on international duty.
The next 10 or so days will also present the Spurs coaches with an opportunity to see what some of the academy players can do in training.
Tottenham’s pre-season provided a nice insight into what some of the best academy players at the club can do. Indeed, some of them already look first-team ready.
The Spurs News now looks at some players – who haven’t left on loan – who could potentially break into the first-team this season.
The likes of Alfie Devine, Jamie Donley and Dane Scarlett, Luka Vuskovic and Ashley Phillips have left on loan, so they won’t be considered here.
However, there are others who are flying in the Under-21s or on the fringes of the first-team who could well get some competitive minutes this term.

Tyrese Hall
Tyrese Hall is a 19-year-old midfielder who has hit the ground running in the Under-21s this season after impressing for the U18s last term.
The England Under-19 international registered eight goals and seven assists from 31 appearances in all youth competitions in 2023/24.
This season, Hall – who has likened his style of play to that of Yves Bissouma – has two goals from Spurs’ first three Premier League 2 outings.
Tottenham handed Hall a new contract in May, tying him down to the club until the summer of 2029.
That was vital as reports in February suggested that Manchester City had been scouting the Spurs gem.

Mikey Moore
Mikey Moore is a 17-year-old winger who has made waves at Tottenham over the past 12 months.
Ange Postecoglou used him extensively in pre-season and he showed that he’s first-team ready with some solid performances.
Moore looks set to spend his time between the first-team and the U21s this season, and he has certainly made an impact for the latter already.
He registered one goal and two assists in the 3-3 draw with Bristol Rovers in the EFL Trophy towards the end of August.

Will Lankshear
Will Lankshear is a 19-year-old centre-forward who has made huge strides at Spurs over the past year.
Lankshear, like Moore, featured a fair bit for Spurs in pre-season, and he is likely to be in and around the first-team amid a lack of centre-forwards.
Alejo Veliz has linked up with Espanyol on a season-long loan, while Dane Scarlett is currently plying his trade for Oxford United.
Lankshear also got on the scoresheet against Bristol Rovers, while last season, he got 25 goals and three assists from just 28 youth outings.
There have already been comparisons between Lankshear and Harry Kane, so Spurs fans will be eager to see how he gets on in the first-team picture this term.

Alfie Dorrington
Alfie Dorrington is a 19-year-old centre-back who has been in and around the first-team picture at Tottenham over the past 12 months.
Last season, Postecoglou called Dorrington up to numerous first-team training sessions and included him in Premier League matchday squads.
The defender has only just returned to training following a serious hamstring injury, as reported by football.london.
With Tottenham currently short of numbers at the back, Dorrington has the perfect opportunity to break into the first-team picture once again.
