Tottenham’s search for a new forward has been well-documented in recent times, with Ange Postecoglou looking to bolster his frontline ahead of a busy campaign.
The likes of Jonathan David and Pedro Neto have been touted but the latest name to be added to that list is reportedly RB Leipzig forward, Lois Openda – according to Sky Sports.

Lois Openda is currently 24-years-old, having been born on 16 February 2000.
The forward was born in Liege, Belgium but is also of Moroccan and Congolese descent.

Lois Openda stands at 5ft 10 inches (1.77m), making him the average height for a modern forward. The former Lens forward also has a stocky build which enables him to shrug off defenders when racing in on goal.

Openda’s main position is centre-forward but the Belgian can also play off the left flank, regularly looking to get in behind the opposition’s right-back.

Openda’s key trait is his blistering pace. Regularly racing in-behind backlines, Openda uses his lightning quick acceleration to fend on defenders and bare down on goal.
The Belgian is also a very good 1v1 finisher, notching 24 league goals for RB Leipzig last season which ranked him third in the Bundesliga’s goalscoring charts behind Tottenham legend Harry Kane and Stuggart’s Serhou Guirassy.
His range of finishing is also very varied having scored 15 with his favoured right-foot, five with his left-foot and four with his head.
The RB Leipzig man is also very creative when it comes to providing for his teammates, registering seven assists last season.
Having been schooled in the Red Bull style of play it also comes as no surprise that Openda is a good presser, which is something that is also key in Ange Postecoglou’s system.

Reports from The Mirror state that Openda’s valuation has more than doubled since his £35m move to RB Leipzig in 2023. It is now believed the forward will now cost in the region of £75m.
