Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Abdukodir Khusanov from RC Lens.
Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero’s injury problems have left Spurs seriously light at the back this season.
Ange Postecoglou has praised both Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies for their performances as stand-in replacements, but Tottenham are seemingly still keen on adding to their defensive roster.
That is according to The Telegraph, who claim Spurs alongside Newcastle are interested in RC Lens defender Abdukodir Khusanov.
Reportedly available for £25million, it is suggested that the Lilywhites could be tempted to make a move in January.
With Khusanov being a relatively unknown figure outside of France, The Spurs News thought it would be worthwhile taking a closer look at the young defender.

He resides from Uzbekistan, having been born in the capital city of Tashkent.

Khusanov began his career in his native Uzbekistan before moving to Belarus club FC Energetik-BGU Minsk at 18 years old.
The defender would impress in Minsk and would be included in the Football Observatory’s most promising youngsters list – ranking 15th in terms of centre-backs.
In 2023, Khusanov would earn himself a move to RC Lens – becoming the first-ever Uzbek player to play in Ligue 1.
The youngster initially struggled in France but has since become a mainstay in the Lens defence, attracting interest from a number of clubs in the process.
