Pedro Porro’s performances for Tottenham Hotspur have caught the eye of Real Madrid who are looking to sign a new right-back in the near future.
The European champions’ plans to bring in a new right-back follow an ACL injury suffered by Dani Carvajal ending the European Championships winner’s season.
Madrid are also eyeing Trent Alexander-Arnold whose contract situation at Liverpool makes him very attractive to the Spanish giants.
As they contiune to weigh up their options, Madrid are set to closely follow Porro’s performances for Spain over the current international break.

Tottenham would sell Pedro Porro for the right price
The Spurs News exclusively spoke to transfer insider Graeme Bailey of TBR Football, who said Tottenham would be open to selling Pedro Porro for the right price.
Any move for the 25-year-old will not be happening in January with the North London club completely closed to selling such a key player in the winter. However, if the 15-time European champions were to make an appealing offer in the summer, Spurs could be open to selling him.
His current deal with the club runs until 2028 so his future is secure, meaning an acceptable offer would likely be in excess of Josko Gvardiol’s £77 million move to Manchester City.
Bailey told The Spurs News: “Madrid are considering a few options, Porro is one they like, we know they’ve worked on him before. I think for the right price Spurs would sell, but we’ll see which avenue Real go – we aren’t talking about January. Porro won’t be leaving in January.”
How does Porro compare to Alexander-Arnold?
Madrid must now decide whether to move for Porro or Alexander-Arnold. The Liverpool man seems to be the obvious choice, especially if he does not renew his contract.
But the data between the two for this season is quite a surprise as the Spaniard comes out on top in almost every department. Trent only tops Porro in crossing accuracy and matches him for chances created and assists.
Given the question marks over Porro’s defending, the fact he still tops Alexander-Arnold in most defensive statistics should be a concern to Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
