Tottenham Hotspur are building a strong squad under Ange Postecoglou and have ignored enquiries over one key player.
Ange Postecoglou is now into his second season as Tottenham Hotspur boss and things are about to get serious.
Last season was good fun; exciting, cavalier football and a return to actual entertainment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
That was a nice change from the trio of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte, at least providing Tottenham fans with something to get behind.
Now Postecoglou is in his second season, the attention will turn to results to go alongside the fun – and there are still questions to be answered.
Spurs threw away two points at Leicester City and somehow lost 2-1 at Newcastle United despite dominating the game.

Tottenham Hotspur make Cristian Romero decision
Tottenham need to win these games to break back into the top four again and Postecoglou certainly has the players to make it happen.
The Spurs boss has a mix of proven Premier League quality and exciting up-and-comers who could take Tottenham forward in the future.
One player Tottenham are relying on in the here and now is defender Cristian Romero.
The Argentinian has been a vital player ever since his arrival in 2021 and Tottenham made sure he was going nowhere this summer.
Argentinian reporter Gaston Edul claims that Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid all wanted to sign Romero.
However, Tottenham not only refused to sell but wouldn’t even put a price tag on his head.
Romero is simply too important to Postecoglou, so Tottenham sent the three interested clubs packing.
Edul notes that Tottenham may well receive offers for Romero in 2025 with the defender out of contract in 2027.
Romero has previously admitted receiving interest and there were seemingly admiring glances this past summer.

Tottenham couldn’t afford to lose Romero
It’s no surprise to see these clubs registering an interest.
Romero has been branded ‘incredible’ by Javier Mascherano and he is a real leader in this Tottenham team.
There are some rash challenges and some frustrating moments from Romero, such as his defending for Jamie Vardy’s goal in the Leicester City draw to open the season.
Romero is mostly an exceptional defender though and his defensive partnership with Micky van de Ven is one that many Premier League managers will envy.
Yes, Tottenham do have Radu Dragusin now and he could step up to replace Romero if a transfer materialised down the line.
Though he impressed against Newcastle, Dragusin is still a Premier League rookie and Tottenham simply had to keep Romero in an attempt to make another step forward under Postecoglou.
The subject of Romero’s contract is now bound to come up after this interest and Spurs will surely hope to tie him down for even longer yet.
