Tottenham Hotspur may be at a disadvantage in the race for Pedro Neto with the winger having previously admitted he grew up supporting Arsenal.

The future of the Wolves forward is under speculation ahead of the summer with Gary O’Neil’s side believed to be in need of raising some funds.

And that is said to have caught the attention of Premier League clubs already who could make a move for him in the coming months.

Tottenham interested in Pedro Neto

According to reports, Tottenham are one of the clubs who are keen on the Portuguese winger who Wolves feel can bring them in some significant cash.

It is said the 23-year-old is valued in excess of a whopping £60m by Wolves.

Now, talkSPORT have claimed the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be in the picture ahead of the summer, but he may already have his preference.

Speaking to the outlet a number of years ago, Neto said: “When I was a kid growing up watching English football my favourite team was Arsenal.

“Because with Arsene Wenger I thought besides winning trophies they played very good football.”

How old is Heung-min Son

A big money on the wing would likely hint towards potentially being the successor for Heung-min Son.

The South Korean is now closing in on the age of 32 with his birthday coming in July – an age where most footballers are expected to begin slowing down.

However, Son has not shown too many signs of doing that with this season proving he is still playing at the absolute top of his game.

The 31-year-old has already been able to return 12 goals and six assists in the Premier League alone for Spurs this season.

And that is despite missing a number of games due to his time in Qatar with South Korea at the Asian Cup where he sustained up a bizarre injury.

A move for the ‘incredible‘ Neto may not provide an instant replacement for Son, however, he could certainly be seen as a potential long-term successor to the Spurs captain.
