Tottenham Hotspur have now planned to hold talks with Brighton and Hove Albion this week over a deal for Jan Paul van Hecke.

Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Van Hecke, and the defender is now waiting for an agreement to be reached between the two clubs.

👀With 12 months left on his contract, how much should we pay at the most to sign the £70m-rated Jan Paul van Hecke?

Micky van de Ven has told Van Hecke to join Tottenham, and Roberto De Zerbi is also keen to be reunited with one of his former Brighton defenders.

Spurs are now working hard to get a deal done for Van Hecke, who is valued at £70 million, although his contract situation means he will likely be sold for less.

Tottenham have talks scheduled this week for Jan Paul van Hecke

Tottenham Hotspur have scheduled talks for later this week to sign Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Both the 25-year-old and De Zerbi have made it clear that they want the move to happen, and talks are planned to happen very soon.

Brighton have already rejected two bids for Van Hecke, but an agreement could eventually be found following the next round of talks.

Spurs have already completed deals for Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi, who will both join the Lilywhites as free agents.

Now, the North London club are already working to get their third deal done and bring in another new defender for De Zerbi.

Meanwhile, Savinho is also ready to join Tottenham, with talks also ongoing with Manchester City to find an agreement for the Brazilian winger.

The North London club are keen to add more Premier League experience to their squad, with four of their key targets having all played in England.

De Zerbi will be eager to massively improve on last season’s 17th-place finish and is pushing the club hard to bring in new players quickly.

Robertson and Van Hecke are both set to play at the World Cup this summer, but Senesi and Savinho will be able to go to Hotspur Way straight away for pre-season.
