Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier is on the verge of completing a move to Bayern Munich.
The Spurs defender emerged as Bayern’s first-choice centre-back target on Wednesday after the Bundesliga champions missed out on a move for Radu Dragusin.
Of course, Dragusin will be joining Spurs after opting for a move to north London over Munich yesterday.
Bayern had already agreed terms with Dier ahead of a proposed switch to Germany and Florian Plettenberg claims Thomas Tuchel’s side have pulled the trigger on the deal.

Dier set to join Bayern Munich
Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg took to X on Thursday morning and claimed that Dier had already arrived in Munich.
The 29-year-old will undergo his medical today ahead of his proposed move to Bayern.
He wrote: “EXCLUSIVE News. Dier: DONE DEAL – He will join FC Bayern!
“He has already arrived in Munich NOW! Agreement between the clubs. Medical today.”
Fabrizio Romano has since claimed that Bayern will pay a fee worth close to €4 million (£3.4 million) and the defender has already spoken to Tuchel about the move.
Dier has barely featured since Ange Postecoglou’s arrival over the summer, despite an ongoing injury crisis at centre-back.
The Englishman has started just once and made a total of four appearances in the league this term.
With his £85,000-a-week contract set to expire this summer, it feels like the right move for all parties involved.

Dier will also link up with former Tottenham teammate Harry Kane, who joined the German giants over the summer.
While Dier received plenty of criticism towards the end of his Spurs spell, he could never be faulted for his commitment to the club.
The defender signed for Spurs back in 2014 and was an integral part of arguably our best side of the Premier League era under Mauricio Pochettino.
We wish Dier all the best with his move to Bayern and hope a change of scenery helps him rediscover his best form.
