Tottenham Hotspur once again go into an international break on the back of a disappointing defeat.
Spurs, who lost to Newcastle before the September break and were beaten at Brighton ahead of the October break, have been left reeling by Sunday’s loss to Ipswich.
Once again, Ange Postecoglou has a lot of work to do to try and ensure that Tottenham can finally nail down some consistency when the league resumes at the end of next week.
That said, it’s not all doom and gloom. Spurs have shown numerous positives so far this season and, on their day, they can put anyone to the sword.
Several Tottenham players have improved in form massively, with one now leading the likes of Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer in one particular Premier League metric.

Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski leads the way in winning possession back in the attacking third
The player in question is Dejan Kulusevski, who has been a revelation since switching to midfield for Tottenham.
Kulusevski has two goals and five assists to his name so far this season – in all competitions – and his overall play has been making a big difference for Spurs.
Whoscored.com have shared a post on X saying the Tottenham star has won possession in the attacking third a total of 16 times this season.
Kulusevski is well ahead of Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, who have done it 12 times this term.
Saka has won possession in the attacking third 11 times, while Palmer is joined by Declan Rice, Rico Lewis and Facundo Buonanotte on 10.
Kulusevski also one of the Premier League’s biggest creators of chances
While playing on the right wing, Kulusevski became quite predictable at times, especially when cutting inside onto his favoured left foot.
However, the Spurs star now has the freedom to make things happen, and as well as winning possession in the final third, he has also been creating a lot of chances.
As per Statmuse FC, Kulusevski is joint top in the Premier League in terms of chances created, sharing a tally of 30 with Fulham’s Andreas Pereira.
Although Tottenham are a work in progress, Kulusevski is certainly pulling his weight and will hopefully continue to do so for the remainder of the season and beyond.
Nonetheless, there’s no sugar-coating the fact that Spurs really need to sort things out, and there has been plenty of debate on the subject.
For instance, Martin Keown recently said Postecoglou needs to be more demanding of his Tottenham players, while Ian Wright criticised Spurs’ inconsistency.
In the meantime, plenty of Tottenham players are currently away with their countries. Find out which Tottenham players are on November international duty and how to watch them.
