Micky van de Ven injury update

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has given an update on the injury status of defender Micky van de Ven ahead of the trip to Fulham. The defender pulled up with a hamstring issue against Aston Villa last time out, being replaced by Radu Dragusin.

Speaking to Sky Sports on Wednesday, the manager said: “We’re still kind of getting all the information in. Look, he’s unlikely for this weekend. We don’t think it’s anything major.

“We’ll probably get some more information at the back end of the week; so unlikely for obviously Fulham. But with the international break, hopefully it means he doesn’t miss too much after that.”

It will hand over the chance to Radu Dragusin, with the Romanian defender yet to make a start in the Premier League. With the international break, Van de Ven could make a return against Luton Town on 30 March.

Giorgio Chiellini discussions

Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin is regularly in contact with former Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini. That’s according to The Athletic, who claim that the Romanian regularly looked up to the experienced Italian international.

Many will be hoping that the 22-year-old will be able to take some tips from Chiellini to rise through the ranks at Tottenham. With Van de Ven now facing a potential spell on the sidelines, it could be a chance for Dragusin to earn his place.

Bryan Gil transfer exit

Tottenham winger Bryan Gil is hoping to leave the club ahead of a potential summer transfer, according to Estadio Deportivo. The 23-year-old has struggled for minutes under Ange Postecoglou, often featuring from the substitutes bench – receiving just 221 minutes so far this season across all competitions.

The report suggests a return to La Liga could be on the cards, with a potential Sevilla move in the pipeline, while Real Sociedad are monitoring the situation for a swoop in the summer. It remains to be seen exactly what the future holds for the winger, who has two-years remaining on his contract.
