Jota to Tottenham transfer

Tottenham could look to bolster their ranks over the summer transfer window with a player familiar to Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou. The Lilywhites continue to be linked with a potential switch for a wide option heading into the market.

One of those that could be back on the radar is Jota, who played well under Postecoglou at Celtic before securing a move to Saudi Arabia. That switch hasn’t quite paid off, with an exit seemingly on the cards in the near future.

The Spurs News spoke exclusively to HITC Football’s Graeme Bailey about a potential deal, who said: “I wouldn’t rule out an interest in Jota again, you know, we know he’s a player who Ange likes. And depending on what his situation is, if he’s a free or you have to pay for him, you know, I don’t think that situation will go away. So it depends what things present themselves, as well.”

Kyle Walker praises former Tottenham star

Manchester City star Kyle Walker was full of praise for former Tottenham teammate Mousa Dembele, when picking out some of the best players he has played with in his career. The midfielder had impressed for Spurs before leaving for just £11million in 2019.

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s FIVE, Walker said: “He [Dembele] is a scandal, he is a scandal – a scandal! The only thing Dembele didn’t have was assists and goals. Everything apart from assists and goals, he was stupid at, it shouldn’t have been allowed.”

Jobe Bellingham transfer update

Tottenham have been linked with a potential transfer switch for Jobe Bellingham in the summer transfer window. The 18-year-old, who is the brother of England and Real Madrid sensation Jude Bellingham, has impressed in the Championship with Sunderland.

While Spurs have been previously rumoured with interest in the wonderkid, they may not end up being the only ones. That’s because, according to Fabrizio Romano, teams are continuing to monitor Bellingham closely.

Speaking on the future for the youngster, he said: “Another name to watch is surely going to be Jude Bellingham’s younger brother, Jobe Bellingham, who is impressing at Sunderland. I really like him. I personally view him as an excellent talent – he’s a serious guy and a hard worker as well.

“I’m sure his future will be bright. For him to be similar to Jude is going to be difficult, as it would be for everyone as he’s a generational player, but Jobe is really talented and good. We will see what happens in the summer, it’s quiet so far but scouts are obviously monitoring him closely.”
