Tim Sherwood is hoping that Tottenham Hotspur do not decide to sack Thomas Frank following the team’s defeat at Bournemouth.

Frank looks to be under pressure at Tottenham, with his team having now won just twice in their last 12 Premier League matches.

Fill in the blank: Tottenham should ___________ Thomas Frank after losing to Bournemouth…

Would you sack or back the Dane?

Tottenham even managed to hand Bournemouth their first Premier League win in 12 matches, and have now dropped into 14th place.

Sherwood has urged Spurs’ hierarchy not to remove him as manager just yet, but following Enzo Marseca and Ruben Amorim’s recent sackings, he fears Frank could soon follow suit.

Tim Sherwood tells Tottenham not to sack Thomas Frank

Tim Sherwood understands why Tottenham fans are frustrated at Thomas Frank, but does not believe he should be sacked right now.

Despite the former Spurs boss admitting that the football has not been great to watch, and neither have the results, he shouldn’t lose his job.

Tottenham are 16th in the Premier League for xG, showing that they simply aren’t creating enough high-quality chances.

Speaking about Frank’s job, Sherwood told Sky Sports: “You know, you expect frustration from fans when they’re not winning football matches, and they’re not being entertained either. So I worry for Thomas Frank, I really do.

“I hope he doesn’t lose his job. But I think we’ve seen Chelsea pull the trigger. We’ve seen Man Utd do it. I hope Tottenham don’t do it. But I wouldn’t hold my breath here to say he’s not going to get sacked.”

The Lewis Family are now facing the first major decision under their tenure as to whether Frank is the right man for the North London club or not.

After the game, Cristian Romero called out the Tottenham hierarchy, suggesting that they often remain silent when the team is struggling.

Tottenham need to support Thomas Frank with a new midfielder

Tottenham are really lacking a player in the middle of the pitch who can properly progress the ball forward, with Rodrigo Bentancur and Joao Palhinha really disappointing.

The double pivot of Bentancur and Palhinha has been one of the biggest problems for Spurs this season, and it’s clear that a new midfielder is needed.

Meanwhile, Lucas Bergvall’s injury has further increased the need for a new central midfielder to be added during the January window.

Right now, though, the priority appears to be on signing a new left-back and a left winger.
