Tottenham Hotspur have finally decided to part company with head coach Thomas Frank.

The decision comes on the back of a run of Premier League form that has reaped just two victories from 17 matches.

Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou in June 2025, but much like the former boss, he’s struggled in the Premier League despite some excellent form in the Champions League.

Tottenham have made the decision to sack Frank before the North London derby, which Spurs would dearly love to win in order to derail the Gunners’ title charge.

Now, some more details of the sacking have come to light, with Frank now looking for his next job in football.

The Times have claimed that the decision to sack Frank came courtesy of the club’s Chief Executive Officer Vinai Venkatesham, who has held reservations.

It’s believed that the CEO recommended the decision after the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle, with the club’s hierarchy accepting the decision.

Injuries came into Venkatesham’s thinking, but it’s thought that the powers that be have just not seen enough from Tottenham on the pitch since Frank came to the club.

Frank only got eight months, and after parting with Postecoglou in the summer, it sees a club the size of Tottenham looking for yet another manager in the space of a few months.

Tottenham have to appoint interim until the summer

It’s a great notion that Tottenham should appoint a new manager quickly, but with a dozen games remaining, that might not be easy to do.

With that in mind, a short-term fix until the summer makes far more sense.

The likes of Robbie Keane and Mauricio Pochettino have been linked with a move to Tottenham, but the former has a full-time job at Ferencvaros and the latter wants to manage the USA at the World Cup.

It really isn’t clear right now which direction Tottenham will turn in but with just five points between the club and the relegation zone, it’s vital they get the right man.
