Tottenham sack Thomas Frank
Tottenham Hotspur have decided to sack Thomas Frank following a shocking run of results in the Premier League, according to David Ornstein.
The Lilywhites were forced to make the decision after fans loudly called for Frank’s sacking during their defeat to Newcastle on Tuesday.
Quite frankly, Tottenham are in a relegation battle, sitting in 16th and just five points above West Ham United in the drop zone.
The North London club are now looking at several options to replace him in the short term, but two wins from 17 were deemed far from good enough.
Several excuses had been made for Frank; however, the club have now decided enough is enough after the team’s latest defeat.
Injuries, losing key players, a lack of leaders and a need for managerial stability were reasons why Spurs had been keeping hold of the 52-year-old.
Frank suggested he would stay at Tottenham, but now the club will need to replace him ahead of the North London derby on February 22.
