Sergio Reguilon claim
Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon has claimed that manager Ange Postecoglou had told him he was part of his plans at the club this season. It comes as the Spaniard is on his second loan spell of the campaign, currently with Brentford.
“During pre-season I was very happy and he [Postecoglou] was happy with me, also the staff. I was playing like a normal player, all the games,” Reguilon told The Times. “The week before, I went to see him. ‘You want me at the club?’ ‘Yes, I have to do a list and you are in my squad’. It was strange. The next day I was out of the training and I didn’t know what happened.”

Micky van de Ven praise
Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven has been full of praise for first-team coach Mile Jedinak. The former Premier League midfielder joined the Spurs setup with Ange Postecoglou when he was named manager in summer 2023.
On Jedinak’s influence, Van de Ven told Optus Sport: “Mile most of the time is also with the defenders, with Wellsy [Matt Wells] the other assistant trainer. Yeah, Mille is a top guy. He, of course, had a great career.
“He also played for Australia was captain for Australia, but in the team he’s also really important with the set pieces with also everyday on the pitch, he’s keeping us sharp and he keeps us ready every day. But off the pitch, he’s also like a really nice guy.
“He’s a top guy and it’s really good to work with him because even when we’re training he can bring us at the highest level even if we have to defend and he has to cross balls in. Even then we have to be at the highest level because because Mile still can play. So he always return something also at high level so we need to be top every time so on and off the pitch. He helps us a lot.”
