Roy Keane might not have played for Tottenham Hotspur but his connection to them has recently been reaffirmed.
The Irishman starred for Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and Celtic during his illustrious career which saw him win seven Premier League titles and the Champions League.
However, despite winning it all with the Red Devils under Sir Alex Ferguson, Keane has now insisted he’s not a fan of the club.
The midfielder has previously stated he loved watching Spurs legend Glen Hoddle and Clive Allen as a child, and his love for the club has now been brought up once again.

Ian Wright insists Roy Keane is a Tottenham fan
As usual, Keane joined former Manchester United teammate Gary Neville on The Overlap this week, and the panel got discussing whether it was right or wrong to support more than one team. Neville then brought up players having an emotional tie to the clubs they starred for.
“But do you have that? I don’t have that with the clubs I’ve played for,” Keane said.
When Neville said Keane must support Man United, the Irishman replied: “I don’t support Man United, absolutely not!”
“He’s a Tottenham man!” Ian Wright chimed in, which Keane didn’t deny.
“I don’t support Man United, I don’t support Nottingham Forest!” Keane said.
He continued: “I grew up in Ireland, remember, obviously I play for a club, very grateful for that. I’d say you have a soft spot for them. But the results wouldn’t be making or breaking a weekend, same for Forest or Celtic or any of the clubs I was involved in.”
When else has Roy Keane spoken about supporting Tottenham?
Last Christmas, Keane was pictured wearing a Spurs Christmas jumper – but this isn’t the first time he’s made a public confession on his love for the club.
Speaking in 2015, he said: “When I played for Rockmount, one of my teammate’s fathers used to bring me to training and he supported Tottenham. That’s where it started, I liked their players, the likes of Glenn Hoddle and Clive Allen.
“But after I’d come back from trial at Nottingham Forest, Spurs offered me a trial.”
He added: “I turned it down because Forest had been good to me, I liked the club and felt some loyalty to them. I had a soft spot for Spurs, and still do.”

Keane played 27 games against Tottenham in his career, winning 20 times, scoring three goals and grabbing two assists.
