Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Manchester City winger Savinho over the summer was well-documented.
In the end, Tottenham could not convince their Premier League rivals to sell to them. However, the 21-year-old still appears to be on their radar.
Savinho is yet to start a game for City this season, though he did miss their first few fixtures because of injury.
Last term, the Brazilian made 48 appearances in all competitions. Twenty-nine of his appearances came in the English top flight.

Tottenham know Savinho wanted to join them in the summer
Savinho’s willingness to join Tottenham in the last transfer window looks to have given the Europa League winners hope of eventually signing him one day.
According to TEAMtalk, Spurs are keeping an eye on Savinho ahead of January and have not given up on landing the Brazil international, knowing that he wanted to link up with Thomas Frank in the summer.
While Tottenham failed to sign Savinho, they were still able to make some very good attacking additions when the transfer market was open.

Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus and Randal Kolo Muani all joined the club to give the team’s attack a boost.
Although they were not able to grab the win, Simons and Kudus still shone in Tottenham’s recent 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Spurs fans will be hoping to see Savinho link up with the duo in January when the transfer window reopens.

How Cole Palmer indirectly blocked Savinho’s move to Tottenham
Tottenham may have London rivals Chelsea to blame for their failed pursuit of Savinho. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Cole Palmer’s success at Stamford Bridge was one reason why City were so reluctant to sell Savinho to another Premier League club.
City sold Palmer to Chelsea in 2023, and the attacking midfielder has gone on to become one of the best players in the world.
He finished eighth in the Ballon d’Or rankings, which really epitomises his rise in the game. City clearly want to avoid risking a repeat with Savinho.
