Tottenham Hotspur will be back in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon as they host Everton in north London.
Spurs will be eager to make amends for Monday night’s 1-1 draw at Leicester, which should have really been something like a 5-1 win for the visitors.
Tottenham began brightly, dominating the Foxes on their own patch and breaking the deadlock through Pedro Porro in the 29th minute of the match.
However, Leicester equalised just before the hour as Abdul Fatawu floated the ball to Spurs’ back post, where Jamie Vardy was on hand to nod home.
A wasteful Tottenham outfit had to make do with a share of the spoils and they’ll be intent to bounce back in front of their own fans.
Standing in Spurs’ way will be an Everton outfit that lost 3-0 to Brighton on the opening day of the campaign.
Ange Postecoglou’s press conference took place on Friday afternoon. Here are the key points made by the Tottenham boss.

Tottenham team news ahead of Everton clash
Postecoglou confirmed, as per football.london, that Dominic Solanke picked up an ankle knock against Leicester and will be absent against Everton.
Likewise, Rodrigo Bentancur won’t be risked following his head injury at the King Power Stadium.
“Irrespective of concussion protocols, any head injury we are always going to be more conservative,” said Postecoglou.
Yves Bissouma is back following his suspension, though “the bridge building continues”, and Pedro Porro and Richarlison are both available.
Postecoglou reveals what he wants to see from his players against Everton
“There were some really positive aspects to our football,” said Postecoglou.
“We controlled the game really well, created chances, minimised the opposition’s strengths but we know in football that is not going to guarantee you an outcome.
“Like I said, I thought we were a bit wasteful in front of goal and we should have put the game to bed.
“For the most part, I thought it was positive and for us if we can replicate those kind of performances regularly the outcomes will change.”

Postecoglou shares whether Wilson Odobert will be considered for first-team action
The Spurs boss has stressed that any new signings have been brought in because they are expected to make an impact from the off.
“I certainly see that with Wilson,” said Postecoglou. “He’s a year older than Archie and Lucas and they’ve already made an impact.
“We sign players because we’re still in that stage of building a team. I won’t bring players here who I don’t think can meaningfully contribute to us in the short-term and Wilson definitely will.”
Postecoglou reveals Tottenham plans in the final week of the transfer window
“Probably a couple more will go out, but we’ve done a fair bit of work over the last 12 months in terms of the squad,” said the Spurs boss.
“As much as the focus has been on getting guys in, we’ve changed the squad a fair bit, brought down the demographic a fair way.
“We’ve brought in footballers who are more better suited to play the football we want to play moving forwards.
“So, there has been a lot of work done in that area from our perspective, but with a week to go there is still a little bit to do.”
